I was so excited to see some blues in this collection, but I have to give you all a little spoiler -- some of the nudes really blew me out of the water!
Swatches of the Zoya Barefoot Collection
JOEY | Joey is described as a warm light pink cream, and I think that is the perfect description for it! I don't really like warm pink polishes, so this one is not my favorite on me, but I was able to get this to full opacity in 2-3 coats. The formula was a little sticky for me, but I added a drop of nail polish thinner and it then went on super smoothly.
TESSA | Tessa is described as a soft peach-toned salmon with a warm gold and coral micro-shimmer. I thought I was going to hate this polish, but I have to say I LOVE it! I think it is such a great summer polish, and one that I can't wait to wear once the spring showers leave. I got this opaque in 3 thin coats.
KEIRA | Keira is a medium sandy taupe with a light copper shimmer running throughout, and an absolutely gorgeous shade for my skin tone! The formula is perfect, and I got it easily opaque in 2 coats. I love love love this polish so much, and it may look similar to Beth from the Zoya Sophisticates Fall 2017 Collection, but I will be doing the comparison post this weekend.
MARCY | Marcy is described as a shimmering bright, hot coral, and I think that is a perfect description of it. Usually, colors like this are hard to photograph, but I think this is really color accurate. I love the pinky-shimmer that pops in this polish -- and it's very much a summer shade! This is 3 coats, and I still see a little nail line in my photos, but in real life it was fully opaque.
LIZA | Up next is Liza, which Zoya describes as a rich, cardinal red cream. This is such a hard color for me to describe, but I think this is more of a dusty raspberry color (at least on me). This one was tough to capture, but I did a little color correcting and I think this is pretty accurate to what it looked like on me. This is 2 coats for full opacity.
ROBBIE | Robbie is so so gorgeous, and described as a fizzy raspberry punch with a gold fleck. I think that is so spot on. What more can I say besides I love this polish, and I think it is so fun for summer! This reminds me of Margot Robbie in 'I, Tony' for some reason - but that makes me love it even more. I got this opaque in 2-3 coats.
DACEY | The next pink in this collection is Dacey, one of Zoya's classing hot pinks. I will (again) be doing my comparison pics this weekend, so you can see it compared to all the other Zoya pinks I own. Although this may not be unique, the formula is fabulous, and I got it opaque in 2 coats.
RIE | Rie is a magnolia purple cream, and a pretty unique shade in my collection! When I was in school at Northwestern University in Illinois, I always wanted a purple polish like this for game days! This has a real crelly formula, but I still got it opaque in 2 coats.
WALKER | Now the color I was probably most excited for, Walker, a deep ocean blue cream. I love love love this blue, it reminds me of being a teenager and rocking blues like this all summer long! Specifically this shade of blue reminds me of going to summer camp with my best friends, and we would always wear a blue similar to this. This is another crelly that I got this opaque in 2 easy coats!
ELENI | Eleni is a light seafoam blue cream, and it reminds me of the cresting waters on the Greek Island beaches I spent many a day on in the summer and fall! Wow, I was so happy to see a color that was both light and so vibrant on the nails! This was another polish that was a little sticky in formula, but I got it opaque in 3 coats.
BEE | Next I have Bee, a pale yellow with a warm undertone. Ah you know I love a good yellow! This is a true pastel yellow, but I will compare it to Jacqueline (my name sake yay) this weekend so you can see how it compares! I got this to full opacity in 3 coats.
DALLAS | Last but not least is Dallas, a clear base topped with silver glitter, large white hexagonal glitter, and small white glitter running throughout. I love these experimental polishes that Zoya is coming out with! I did 2 coats for the above photo, and 1 coat on each finger for the below photo. This is the perfect topper for summer!
Final Thoughts on the Zoya Barefoot Collection
Boy oh boy do I love this collection! I am so so happy to finally be adding some brights and blues to my Zoya collection. I was so pleased with this whole collection -- but I have to say my favorites are Tessa, Walker and Bee! Close runner ups are Eleni, Keira, and Dallas......so as you can tell I love all of these polishes.
