Tropical Tips Nail Art Tutorial
With KL Polish announcing their new summer 2018 shades, I was inspired to go back into my collection and create this tropical mani with my favorite shades from the summer 2017 Miami collection.
In preparation for the beautiful new KL Polish Summer 2018 shades, I was inspired to use my favorite shades from last summer’s collection. I loved how beautiful and bright the Miami collection shades were, and I cannot wait to get my hands on this season’s new polish!
-Red: KL Polish ‘Magic City’ from the KL Polish Miami Collection
-Pink: KL Polish ‘Mia’ from the KL Polish Miami Collection
-Blue: KL Polish ‘Porter Miami’ from the KL Polish Miami Collection
-Green: KL Polish ‘305’ from the KL Polish Miami Collection
I started out this look with a 2-coat base of KL Polish ‘Wishbone’, a nice brown/taupe that I thought would be a nice neutral beneath the brights I was going to be using next.
Taking a fine liner brush, I used KL Polish ‘Magic City’ to paint on upside-down U’s as a guide for the next shades. I followed my natural nail arch on each nail (besides my pointer finger that has a weird shape). Following ‘Magic City’, I then went in with KL Polish ‘Mia’, ‘Porter Miami’, and ‘305’ in that order, following the previous shape.
There was a lot of back and forth between the colors once I got general blocking in, just to clean up the lines where the colors meet. I went in with each color again just to define the edges. They’re not perfect, but without nail vinyls or stickers, it’s the best I could do.
The end result is this gorgeous tropical mani! I am reminded of Miami just looking at this bright and fun manicure, and I hope you are too! Let me know what you think down below – and don’t forget to tag @jackiemonttblog in any of your recreations!
