My First Too Faced Palette, Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette

The Too Faced Chocolate Gold palette has been out for while now, but I finally got my hands on this beauty, and I am so excited talk about what I liked and didn't like about this palette. 

The basics of the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette

Hello lovelies! I am almost positive that you have heard and seen everything there is to know about the Too Face Chocolate Gold palette, but today I am bringing you my thoughts on this newest addition to the chocolate bar palettes. 

The Chocolate Gold palette originally came out at the end of last year as a limited edition palette, but you can still purchase it from Ulta, Sephora, their website etc. for $49. It consists of 16 shades - 13 shimmer, 3 matte. This is cruelty free, and made with 100% cocoa powder and gold. 

I love love love the packaging on this, and I think it really does go well with the idea of this palette. I was surprisingly impressed with the quality of the packaging, and for my first Too Faced palette ever, I was impressed with the quality of the shadows as well. 

My thoughts on the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette

At first, I didn't think that I would like this palette. I do work an office job, so the fun very sparkly colors are bit out of my day-to-day range, but I kept seeing great reviews and finally took a dive and purchased my first ever Too Faced Palette!

I was not disappointed with this purchase, and the Chocolate Gold palette has quickly become a staple for my every day work looks!

Like I mentioned, I initially didn't think this would be a good fit for me because of all the fun colors, but as it turns out, the neutral glitters work really well as a wash of color over my entire lid for work days. So Boujee is also the perfect transition color for me, I know that not everyone wants a basic brown shade in every palette, but I appreciate it when I'm waking up late and don't want to fuss around with more than one palette.

Below I have swatched all 16 shades from the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette. As you will be able to see, some shades swatched better than others, but this was one swipe with a finger, and I did find that overall, all the shades applied well to the eye with a damp brush.

I have worn this palette to work and around New York many times, and find that my looks last all day and they wear/fade really well over time. At the end of they day, you can still tell which colors I put on that morning, and there is no creasing which is what I struggle with the most. (Thank you oily eyelids) 

Final thoughts on the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette

Overall, I am so happy with the purchase, and I have been using it almost half the week every week since purchasing it. The looks I have been able to create usually have a nice subtle pop of color, and like I mentioned up above, they last all day. 

I am so pleased with the quality of these shadows, and will definitely consider Too Faced palettes in the future.
