KL Polish Ethereal Garden Collection Swatches and Review
Kathleen of Kathleenlights has done it again, KL Polish has released their spring Ethereal Garden collection for 2018 and the colors are just gorgeous. These light and bright shades will get you ready for warm weather and spring blooms!
In this collection, we get six new KL Polish shades, three creme shades, one jelly, one duo-chrome and one shimmer (albeit slight shimmer). The KL Polish Ethereal Garden box set is limited edition, and costs $45.
This collection on the surface doesn't seem too unique, but below the surface, each of these really surprised me, and I think they will surprise you too.
Now onto the swatches....
I have to admit, most of these I don't have an exact dupe for, and I am so glad I bought them all! I'm looking forward to making some cute spring nail art with these, and this collection just keeps me excited for that KL Polish as in the making!
Would you pick up any of these? Let me know your favorite down below!
My Thoughts on the KL Polish Ethereal Garden Collection
Hello lovelies! Sorry for the long break, work picked up and this (sadly) fell by the wayside. Today I am so excited to be sharing with you guys the KL Polish Ethereal Garden Spring collection. This is KL Polish's second spring collection, and I am so in love with all the shades!
Swatches of the KL Polish Ethereal Garden Collection
PINKY | Pink is the perfect name for this polish. I was surprised to see KL Polish bring out this pinky jelly polish, since they are such a new brand, and I think most people outside of the nail world don't typically talk about jellies anymore. That being said, this is a really nice jelly polish that gets to about 85% coverage after 3 coats. I am not a huge jelly fan, as I have said in the past, but this is very fresh and clean.
GUM WOULD BE PERFECTION | As the name would suggest, this is a bubble gum pink! It is not your typical bubblegum shade, it's more of a blue-toned pink that gives it a cool edge I was not expecting in a spring collection. This was 2 coats.
MISS KENSINGTON | KL Polish describes this as a mint green with a hint of aqua, and I would have to agree. This is not the same mint green that we've seen many times before, but I plan on doing some swatch comparisons with ones that I think could be similar. This was 2 coats.
SELENE | AH this is a mustardy yellow with silver micro-shimmer, and I am so in love. Not only do I love yellow shades, but unique yellow shades forever steal my heart. I love how unique this polish is, and if you get only a few shades in this collection it should be this one and Charmed. You can't really see the micro-shimmer on the nail, but you can in the bottle. This was 3 coats.
DREAM BOY | I was hesitant to believe that this was that different from KL Polish St. Claire, but this is absolutely more purple and a true lilac creme polish. It is a little bluer than the typical lilac colors that come out around this time, and I love the cool-tone nature of this. This was a little patchier than the others, and a couple fingers needed 3 coats.
CHARMED | Boy oh boy, did I save the best for last! This is the most gorgeous shade of the Ethereal Garden collection. This is a magenta duo-chrome with an aqua blue flash. This is not the first version of this I have owned, but this IS the best. Usually polishes like this are very thin, don't build up nicely, and need a base color to make them pop, but that is not the case with Charmed! This was three coats, and you can still slightly see my nail line in some light but I am not bothered at all by that.
Final thoughts on the KL Polish Ethereal Garden Collection
This collection really took by by surprise. I was not expecting to love every shade in this collection, but I have fallen in love with Ethereal Garden! Every shade is a little unique, and I think the cool-tone theme of these makes it really stand out from the other pastels I usually wear this time of year.I have to admit, most of these I don't have an exact dupe for, and I am so glad I bought them all! I'm looking forward to making some cute spring nail art with these, and this collection just keeps me excited for that KL Polish as in the making!
