Zoya Fall 2017 Lip Swatches
Hello lovelies! Today I have some awesome new lipsticks from Zoya to share with you all!
Now, I never knew that Zoya made lipstick, and I think it is a fairly new thing for them, but I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by this collection and have been rocking these to work for the last couple days!
Each of these retail for $12. They are cream formula, unflavored, environmentally friendly (like all Zoya products!), hydrating, and last 4-6 hours.
Zoya's description of their lipsticks: Back to basics but even better; Zoya perfects the classic lipstick cream formula to allow lips to stay moist for hours without the mess. The medium wear formula is specifically designed to last 4 to 6 hours without cracking or drying. All this in a light weight yet well pigmented unflavored formula that you're going to love.
This was my first ever lip swatch attempt, so forgive me if these are not the same quality we're all used to out there.
But on to the swatches....
Addie | Described as a pink nude apricot, this color was probably my least favorite. It just was too light for my skin tone, and I probably won't wear it a lot. The formula was a little patchy on me, as you can see, but I will have my roommate test it out as well.
Layne | Described as a medium dusty rose, this color was a little better, but still a little light on me. I did like how creamy this formula was, but it's a little too barbie pink on me.
Maggie | Described as a deep berry, and I loved this color on me. It went on super smooth and creamy, and lasted all day. I have worn this to work and feel like it is a perfect fall office color. It is slightly sheer and shows off my nature lip gradient. This is not a unique color, but it is nice if you are looking for a deep berry color this fall.
Bristol | Described as a medium wine tone, this color looks very close to Maggie. I can barely tell the difference, but this one is slightly redder. I also enjoyed this lip color and it had great application as well.
Izzy | Described as a deep fuchsia, this is a great color for me to go out to dinner or drinks in. I think if I were a little darker, it would also be more appropriate for the office, but this is another color that had amazing pigmentation and application.
Lucky | Described as a vibrant cool toned pink, this was by far my favorite color in the collection. You can see the hint of blue in the light and this is like no color I have in my collection. It had great pigment and application, I love it and even wore it to work as well even though it is a little louder.
Tommy | Described as a saturated blurple, this is the first crazy lip color I have ever owned. It is a beautiful color, and I think it is a super fun color that I wish I could wear around normally, but it's just not my style. I do love how easy this was, this was just 1 coat, and it felt super creaming an hydrating.
Overall I think Zoya's description for these is spot on, they are doing the basics but better! These were all super hydrating and had a great formula. I would touch up my lips at work after I ate or drank coffee, but I do the same with all classic cream lipsticks.
