OPI | This Color's Making Waves

Hi Beauties,

Today I have my review of OPIs This Color's Making Waves from the Hawaii collection a couple years back. I wasn't able to find photos or a review of this polish on someone with my skin tone when I was at the store deciding to buy it, so I figured I would do it myself!

This is three think coats with top coat. As you can see, there are some streaks in the metallic aqua color. The streaks settle a bit when it dries down, but they do not completely go away.

OPI describes this color as a lagoon blue, and in the bottle it looks like a beautiful deep blue to teal duo-chrome with warm golden and pink glass flecks. Sadly the flecks do not show up at all on the nail, and neither does the duo-chrome effect. 

On the nail this looks like a beautiful turquoise/teal metallic shade, but I was really hoping for a wow shade, and to see all the dimensions that you see in the bottle. I’m a little sad that no flecks show up on the nails, but it is still a good color for summer!
